Rawalpindi:
The leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) warned on Monday that the founding president of the Imran Khan party could be transferred to solitary confinement after some more audiences, and accused the authorities of directing a campaign to divert the attention of his message.
The party also said that Imran’s future messages will be delivered by their sisters to avoid similar amusements.
Aleem Khan, talking to journalists near Adiala’s prison, said he hopes that “after some more hearings, Imran will move to solitary confinement.”
She said that a campaign against her had been released to distract the public from Imran’s message and announced a change in how Imran’s communications will be transmitted.
“I will be replaced by my sisters Dr. Azmi and Noreen Khan,” he said, added that “they will transmit their message so that the attention does not deviate for me.”
Aleem insisted that the movement aimed to silence Imran attention. “All this is an attempt to distract the attention of the founder.”
She said that only a few audiences remain in the Toshakhana-2 case and warned that “two or three hearings after that, Imran will put into complete solitary confinement.”
“We struggle to get the founder from the prison … He is and will continue to be the president of the party. Forget that he will remain imprisoned for the next 10 years: Imran and we will never bow.”
Aleem told the journalists that Imran had been warned that he could be arrested, but that he was not worried. She said she and others were working to ensure her release and pointed out a tactical change.
“In the next two or three audiences, my sisters will deliver the Imran message,” he said, “so that this attention does not change for me …”.
At the same time, PTI’s lawyer, lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, defended the position of Khyberpá Porta Minister Porta and criticized the speed and conduct of political judgments. “Ali Amin Gandapur will continue to be the prime minister as long as he has the confidence of the founder of the party,” he said, and expressed the hope of avoiding the case of Toshakhana to the superior judiciary.
Speaking near Adiala’s prison, Gohar Khan said she hadn’t met Imran yet, but she waited for a meeting the next day.
He highlighted judicial delays throughout the country and connected them with the situation of the Supreme of the party, saying that tens of thousands of cases in Pakistan were pending.
He demanded that Imran’s judgments be made with access to lawyers, media and the public as well as other cases, and argued that the way Imran’s judgments were hurried only encouraged suspicions.
Gohar Khan reiterated the official position of the Terrorism Party and requested restriction in KP operations.
He urged decallation and said he had been in contact with families affected by recent incidents.
Gohar warned that the public confidence in the Judiciary was being eroded by the treatment of Imran Khan and said there was no basis for suggesting that the sisters of the jailed leader had inappropriate contacts with any agency.
