Imran disassociates himself from social media propagandists

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has disassociated himself from all social media accounts involved in propaganda against Arab countries, his wife Bushra Bibi and party martyrs, his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said on Wednesday.

Talking to reporters after a meeting with the PTI founder in Adiala jail, Chaudhry said Imran condemned such propaganda and made it clear that everyone involved in it had no connection with the PTI.

“Imran Khan condemned propaganda about Arab countries on social media,” Chaudhry said. “Imran Khan expressed his disassociation from those social media accounts that propagate against Bushra Bibi and the martyrs.”

Chaudhry revealed that the PTI founder had formed a committee led by Qazi Anwar to investigate the party’s missing person issue and complete its report by Sunday. He said Imran had directed the party to work on the missing persons issue.

Responding to a question about not allowing the PTI negotiations to meet the party founder, Chaudhry said the move was tantamount to sabotaging the negotiations.
