The founder and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has ruled out the agreement to “give and take”, stating that conversations will only be maintained in the interest of Pakistan.
This was broadcast by Senator Ali Zafar after a recent meeting with the former prime minister in the Adiala prison in Rawalpindi, where Imran Khan was held since August 2023 for a variety of positions, including corruption and terrorism.
“Imran said he is ready to negotiate for the sake of unity in the country,” Ali said to journalists outside the prison, adding that conversations must be transparent, honest and strictly in national interest, not for any personal benefit. “
“If I wanted relief, I would have asked for a long time,” Ali Zafar said quoting Imran Khan.

Ali Zafar, speaking with journalists, said Imran also renewed his demand for fast justice in all legal cases against him and other members of PTI, accusing the authorities of deliberately delaying judicial procedures. “I just want justice,” he said by former prime minister.
A few days before, Imran Khan had ordered the party to begin preparations for an important national movement against the current government.
Through his sister, Aleema Khan, the former prime minister conveyed that although he would not summon the supporters of Islamabad, the campaign would be launched throughout Pakistan.

“Start preparing for a mass movement,” Aleem told his brother. “I will not call people to Islamabad, but we will launch the movement through Pakistan.”
She said that Imran remained challenging against what he called state oppression, promising to resist all forms of torture and pressure. “Imran Khan has made it clear that even if he spends his whole life behind bars, he will not give up the subjugation,” he added.
Meanwhile, PTI’s central information secretary, Sheikh Waqas Akram, dismissed on Wednesday the ongoing negotiation reports with the government, saying that the dialogue “does not work that way.”
When heading to a press conference, the party secretary of the party clarified that the founding president of PTI, Imran Khan, has denied having initiated conversations.
“You can’t conduct hate daggers to someone’s chest and still wait for good will in return,” he added.
In addition, he clarified that the negotiation committee had been constituted by Imran himself and that his participation was in his direction.
