Islamabad:
The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), on Tuesday held the Interior Minister and president of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi for the early departure of the national team of the ongoing champions trophy.
Imran’s sister, Aleema Khan and PTI’s lawyers, Salman Akram Raja and Faisal Chaudhry told journalists out of Adiala prison that Imran was deeply sad for Pakistan’s defeat. They cited him by saying that Naqvi had played a key role in the deterioration of Cricket in the country.
“Imran Khan said that no one in Pakistan has as many positions as Mohsin Naqvi. When Naqvi was named [Punjab] Prime Minister, committed injustices. He is appointed Minister of the Interior, again committed injustices. Whatever the position that is designated, a disaster does, “said Aleema Khan.
“Imran Khan said that a respectable man would resign after such poor performance, but this could not happen,” said Aleema Khan. “Mohsin Naqvi destroyed merit, therefore, the Crickt team could not reach the top,” added Faisal Chaudhry.
Aleem said Imran had instructed that only party officials would talk about him. He rejected a statement by former vice president of the Qasim Suri National Assembly on Imran’s health, saying that the founder of PTI “is fine.” She confirmed that Imran spoke with her children last Saturday.
Letter to CJ
The general secretary of the PTI, Salman Akram Raja, also confirmed that the founder of PTI had spoken with his children for the fourth time in the last six months. However, there was no meeting between him and his wife, Bushra Bibi.
“Imran said that the prison system is delivered to those who are not related to the prison,” Raja said. “Imran Khan has instructed to write another letter to the president of the Supreme Court Yahya Afridi. On his instructions, I will write the letter to the President of the Supreme Court. I will put this matter in front of him,” Raja told the media.
Referring to a meeting between a PTI delegation with the president of the president of the suppla last week, Raja said that Imran Khan had ordered the party to continue what the president of the Supreme Court has said.
