Imran Khan has assumed the role of boss pattern of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), while lawyer Gohar Ali Khan will continue to serve as president of the breached part.
Speaking to journalists outside the Adiala prison on Tuesday, where Imran is imprisoned, BarrĂster Gohar said that the responsibilities to organize the protests nationwide have been reallocated by Ali Amin Gandapur to Omar Ayub and Salman Akram Raja.
“The founder of PTI, Imran Khan, has not specified a time frame for the protest movement, but will personally make a decision soon,” he added. “Our party is not currently in conversations with anyone, but the founder of PTI has maintained the option of negotiations with the open establishment.”
The lawyer Gohar also declared that during a recent meeting, Imran declared that all the doors have closed and there are no option to launch a protest movement.
“Instead of asking for a protest only in Islamabad, the demonstrations will now be carried out throughout the country, and Khan Sahib himself will lead the movement,” he said.
The founder of PTI has instructed that all directions related to the protest movement are administered to Omar Ayub. He also declared that, from now on, he will be the PTI chief pattern and will continue to make all decisions as before.
The lawyer Gohar sought to cancel the rumors about his elimination of the presidency, calling them “without foundation and spread by the travesura teachers.” He warned that everyone knows the consequences if the party no longer has a president. Imran Khan has not expressed any lack of confidence in the leadership of the party and recognizes the sacrifices made by the members.
BarrĂster Gohaha also said that he has always advocated problems solving through dialogue and still believes that this is the best approach. He said he had rigged in the election of Sialkot (Sambarial) and that the founder of PTI has always shown flexibility, even while in jail during the last two years. He reiterated that PTI has supported the government in difficult times and will never try to harm Pakistan.
“We will protest peacefully, it is our democratic right,” said the president of PTI, and added that Imran Khan’s judicial cases are not scheduled or are not heard, and that decisions are delayed in the reserved seats. “We want common sense to prevail,” he added.
