Rawalpindi: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) imprisoned, Imran Khan, declared a boss pattern of the former ruling party in the midst of internal internal struggles, while lawyer Gohar Ali Khan will continue to serve as president of the party, emerged on Tuesday.
The measure followed the announcement of the party of a protest unit nationwide to overthrow the coalition government led by PML-N and claim what he called his “stolen mandate.” PTI has not announced the date for its proposed protest.
Talking with journalists after his meeting with Khan in Central Jail Adiala in Rawalpindi today, the president of PTI, Gohar said: “The founder of PTI says that he will direct the protest movement.”
Citing Khan, Gohar said that all instructions regarding the protest movement will be given to Omar Ayub. He said that the founder of PTI had not yet provided any time frame for protest.
“The founder of PTI says that he will be the PTI head pattern as of today,” said the president of PTI, adding that all decisions would be taken by the founder of PTI, as they were before.
Answering a question, Gohar rejected rumors about his removal as president of PTI. “Everyone knows what the consequences will be if the party does not have a president,” he added.
CM Gandapur will not lead to the next protest
Speaking with the media, the president of PTI said that the responsibility of the protests had always been assigned to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, but this time it would be different.
“They will be assigned different responsibilities regarding the protest movement,” he added.
For another question, he said that the founder of PTI did not express any lack of confidence in the leadership of the party.
Gohar said that he still wanted the problems to be solved through dialogue, adding that the founder of PTI has maintained the option of negotiations with the open establishment.
