Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), has ordered the responsibility committee of the party to present a report on alleged corruption and the performance of ministers in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in May.
The sources declared that the founder of PTI has requested a report on the performance of the ministers and the use of funds, which led to the responsibility committee to begin convening the members of the cabinet.
PTI’s responsibility committee member, the lawyer Qazi Anwar said that the report on the performance of the cabinet members will be presented in the first week of May. All ministers, advisors and assistants will submit their reports to the Committee, providing details on the use of funds and related information.
Qazi Anwar added that this process will be completed in May, after which the report will be submitted to the founder of PTI. The Food Minister has already submitted his performance report to the Committee.
Previously, Imran Khan instructed the members of the party that they had government roles to renounce their positions within the party.
The directive, communicated through the secretary general of PTI SALMAN AKRAM RAJA, aims to give Junaid Akbar, the newly appointed president of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chapter of PTI, a free hand to reorganize the party.
Raja, speaking with journalists after visiting Khan in Adiala’s prison on Tuesday, said Khan has good health despite concerns about his well -being.
He also revealed that Khan planned to write to the president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Yahya Afridi on matters within the penitentiary system, noting that the administration of the prison was allegedly under the control of the “invisible forces.”
