Islamabad:
The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has instructed the party to prepare for an important movement throughout the country against the titular government.
“I begin to prepare for a mass movement; I will not call people to Islamabad, but we will launch the movement through Pakistan,” Imran transmitted through his sister, Aleema Khan, who spoke with the media on Monday.
In statements to the press outside the prison, she declared that her brother promised to resist all forms of oppression and torture, declaring that she would never bow to subjugation. “Imran Khan has made it clear that even if he spends his whole life behind bars, he will not surrender to pressure,” he added.
She highlighted the key points shared by her brother, stating that despite being a former prime minister, Imran is denied the basic rights granted to common prisoners.
“In the last eight months, only a brief conversation with their children has been allowed and it has not been allowed to meet their sisters,” said Aleema. She said that prison authorities have also blocked efforts to send her books, adding: “Even their personal doctors have denied access to him.”
Imran, through his sister, reaffirmed her position: “No matter the scope of torture, I will never accept the subjugation. I will not give up.”
Aleem also mentioned that his brother believes that his wife, Bushra Bibi, was placed in jail as part of a broader effort to apply pressure on him. Despite this, Imran remains firm in its commitment not to commit. “Even if I am in prison for life, I will not bow,” Imran said.
In addition, Aleema dismissed the rumors that circulate on the negotiations for the liberation of Imran. “Some youtubers have speculated that an agreement is in process, with a foreign participation. But these narratives are being created to calm the public,” he said.
In party matters, he said that PTI is promoted by ideology, not political opportunism. “Our party is based on a strong ideological basis, not on elections,” he said. “Those who do not align with our principles do not take place in PTI.”
Aleem also revealed that Imran criticized judicial delays in his cases, particularly his corruption case, which has been pending for more than three months. “The judges promised to take measures, but nothing has been done,” he said.
He also shared that the members of the PTI Parliament will show their support to the Judiciary, with the Punjab legislators who are addressed to the Superior Court of Lahore, and the MNA of Islamabad and Peshawar visiting the Superior Court of Islamabad to express their support.
