In the first ten months of fiscal year 2024-25 (July to April), Pakistan received more than $ 6 billion in foreign loans and subsidies. However, total external tickets reach $ 14.1 billion, when financing of the IMF and laps from friendly countries are included.
The annual external financial assistance objective is $ 19.39 billion, according to the data published by the Division of Economic Affairs. The sources said the $ 2.1 billion received from the IMF add to other tickets. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and China passed over deposits worth $ 6 billion during the period.
From July to April, Pakistan received $ 2.97 billion of international financial institutions. Countries such as China and the United States provided additional $ 370 million in bilateral loans. The country also obtained $ 760 million in foreign commercial loans.
According to the documents, Pakistan raised $ 1.61 billion through the certificates of Naya Pakistan. More than $ 3 billion were received as budget support, while $ 2.63 billion went to development projects.
