An Indian defense official admitted that the country’s Air Force “lost some airplanes” on the night of May 7 when they launched an attack not caused in civil places in Pakistan during the recent 86 -hour war between the two nuclear powers.

Captain Shiv Kumar, an aggregate of Indian Defense, made the statement while talking in a seminar, “Analysis of the Pakistan Air Battle -india and the anticipatory strategies of Indonesia from the perspective of air power” organized by the universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma in Indonesia, the Indian media reported.

Kumar blamed the losses suffered by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for the limitations imposed by political leadership in New Delhi. He affirmed that the Indian plane was under the orders not to attack Pakistan’s military assets, to avoid escalation.

Previously, the chief of the General of Defense Personnel, Anil Chauhan, confirmed the loss hunting aircraft during May’s clashes with Pakistan, marking the first official recognition of air losses in the current conflict. He swallowed the information in an interview with Bloomberg Television, during the Belicon of the Shangri-La dialogue in Singapore.

However, he denied Pakistan’s account that six Indian aircraft be demolished, choosing not specifying the exact number of lost airplanes. “The important thing is not that the plane is down, but why they were going down,” said Chauhan. “The numbers are not important.”

On May 30, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) Subramanian Swamy party admitted that Pakistan knocked down five Indian combat planes, including Rafale airplanes. However, India military circles always have tight lips on the number of loss of PAF combat aircraft.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) demolished at least six Indian combat planes, including three raffles built by the French, which the government led by Narendra Modi bought to give the IAF a qualitative advantage perceived over the PAF.
