Islamabad:
Pakistan said on Friday that India must respect the inalienable rights of the People of Cashmiro, the most important thing is that his fundamental right to self -determination, as consecrated in the corresponding resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
In a statement, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “Pakistan believes that the path to peace and lasting stability in southern Asia lies in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.”
He said: “The people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) freely enjoy their civil and political rights and actively participate in the configuration of their democratic future.”
He said that Pakistan remained firmly committed to maintaining his dignity, safeguarding his rights, including the right to the peaceful assembly and protest, respecting his feelings and advancing in his socioeconomic development.
“This commitment reflects not only our constitutional responsibility but also our lasting moral obligation with the people of Jammu and Kashmira,” he added.
He said: “In marked contrast, our brothers and sisters in India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk) continue to face a shady reality under occupation.”
“The use of gross force, the denial of fundamental freedoms and systematic and serious violations of human rights have become the distinctive seal of terrorism sponsored by the state of India against the innocent people of Kashmir situation”.
He said: “Instead of launching unjustified sprays in Ajk, India must take into account its obligations under international law and the UN letter.”
