India falsely link Pakistan with the Pahalgam incident without evidence: PM

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has stated that despite the provocative actions of India after Pahalgam incident in Jammu (Iiojk) occupied by India, Pakistan has responded responsible.

He said that India has not provided any evidence that links Pakistan with the incident and is trying to falsely associate Pakistan with the Pahalgam event.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s office media wing, the Turkish ambassador, Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, met with the prime minister at the home of the Prime Minister on Saturday.

During the meeting, the prime minister transmitted his best wishes for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and recalled his recent visit to Ankara on April 22, 2025, where the two leaders discussed the progress of Pak-Turkey relations in several sectors.

The prime minister thanked President Erdogan for his support for Pakistan in the midst of the current security situation in South Asia and for his call to regional peace.

He said that Türkiye’s support reflects the historical and deep fraternal ties between the two countries and their people. He reiterated that Pakistan responded responsibly to the provocative actions of India after Pahalgam incident.

The prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan has always condemned all forms of terrorism. He added that Pakistan has made enormous sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, including 90,000 lost lives and more than $ 152 billion in economic losses.

He said that India’s actions are a malicious attempt to divert the attention of the anti -terrorist efforts of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also stressed that India has not been able to respond to Pakistan’s offer of a credible, transparent and impartial international investigation to discover the facts behind the Pahalgam incident. Pakistan will fully cooperate with this research, and if Türkiye participates, he will be welcome.

The prime minister added that Pakistan currently focuses on economic recovery and development, which requires peace and security in the neighborhood.

The Turkish ambassador transmitted Ankara’s support for Pakistan’s position and expressed solidarity with Pakistan. He urged restriction in the midst of the crisis in progress to reduce tensions and maintain peace and security in southern Asia.

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked Prime Minister Chinese Li Qiang for supporting Islamabad’s call for credible and transparent international investigation about the April 22 attack in IIiojk.

The prime minister made the comments during a meeting with Chinese ambassador Jiang Zaidong at the office of the Prime Minister in Islamabad, where he also expressed his gratitude to China for his constant support in augmented regional tensions.
