India reopened 32 airports on Monday after a high weekend fire that ended the worst fighting with the neighbor Pakistan since 1999.

The Airport of India’s authority said that the 32, from Srinagar in Indian Jammu and Cashmira illegally occupied Bhuj in the western state of Gujarat, were now available for civil operations “with immediate effect.”

They closed last week after fierce fighting between India and Pakistan for four days, triggering the global alarm that could spiral in a complete war.

The Indian Indian airline leader said that “operations on previously closed routes would progressively begin.”

The Pakistan airport authority completely reopened its airspace on Saturday.

The truce was announced on Saturday. Both India and Pakistan said the border areas were calm on Monday.
