India sent surveillance drones within Pakistan: Khawaja Asif


Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, on Friday to the National Assembly that the recent drones attacks of India were destined for recognition instead of immediate attacks.

Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif said that Indian drones were allowed to enter a “safe limit” before intercepting and neutralizing them to avoid compromising sensitive locations.

He assured the legislators that the armed forces were fully prepared to respond to any escalation. “No one should doubt that our armed forces are completely committed to responding to Indian aggression,” he said. “We are 200 percent prepared for any situation,” added the Minister of Defense, pointing out a high moral within the Army.

In addition, he said that nations like China, Turkiye and Azerbaijan had expressed a clear support for Pakistan.

Asif also said that the Government is dedicated to daily diplomatic contacts with countries such as Iran, the EAU, Saudi Arabia, China and Qatar, in efforts to unwish the situation.

Separately, Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the Indian aggression and expressed his support for the armed forces of Pakistan.

Going to the National Assembly, he said that India had attacked mosques, religious seminars and civil areas, which resulted in victims.

He announced that the JUI-F was observing “Yom-E-Dafa Watan” (Defense of the Day of the Homeland) and shared plans for public demonstrations in solidarity with the Armed Forces.

“A march is scheduled in Peshawar on May 11, followed by another in Quetta on May 15,” said JUI-F.

It should be noted here that the Pakistan army intercepted and destroyed 77 Israeli manufacturing Harop drones, sent by India to attack civil and military facilities, confirmed on Friday the Federal Minister of Federal Information Information Tarar.

At least 29 drones were intercepted from Wednesday to Thursday night, with additional 48 knocked down during the night and until Friday.
