The leader of the Indian Congress, Rahul Gandhi, and other parliamentarians were arrested by the New Delhi police during his protest march against the Office of the Electoral Commission of India (ECI) about the accusations of “electoral fraud”, according to reports of the Indian media.

In addition to Rahul and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the New Delhi police arrested several members of the opposition of Parliament (parliamentarians).

“This fight is not political … is to save the Constitution. The fight is for ‘a person, a vote'”, ” NDTV He informed that Rahul said that while the police changed it.

Confirming the arrest of opposition leaders, Commissioner Police ensemble Deepak Purohit said politicians had been taken to a nearby police station.

The police officer, citing reasons behind his detention, said that the opposition lacked the necessary permit to protect said scale and that only 30 parliamentarians were allowed to march to the ECI office and file a complaint.

Purohit’s comments occur after the inclusive alliance of Indian Indian (Indian) development led by INCC began a march towards the ECI office.

The political agitation in New Delhi is related to Rahul’s renewed accusations against the ruling party Bharatiya Janata (BJP) and the ECI that conspired to manipulate the elections and participated in the manipulation of votes.

Last week, during an opposition group, Rahul said there had been a “huge criminal fraud” during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

He cited a survey in Karnataka that, according to him, revealed six key irregularities: multiple entries for the same voter, records duplicated in all states, false directions, groups of bulk voters in individual residences, unclear photographs on voter identifications and undue use of form 6, which is used to register voters for the first time.

The politician also accused the electoral body of preparing a “choreographer calendar” for the elections of the state assembly in collusion with the BJP and said that the ECI refused to share digital versions of voters’ rolls.

The Electoral Commission responded strongly to Gandhi’s accusations, calling them an “absurd analysis” and urging the Congress leader to support their claims with a formal statement under oath.

“If Rahul Gandhi believes in his analysis and believes that his accusations against the Electoral Commission of India are true, he should not have any problem in signing the statement. If he does not sign the state ECOS emissions.
