Indiana’s football player chooses to join Barstool sports for declaring for the NFL draft: ‘This is mine’

After playing six years at Indiana University, Mike Katic has decided to put his NFL dreams aside.

After initially declaring the NFL draft last year, then returning for its last year of eligibility, the old center has decided to join Barstool Sports as a media personality and analyst.

“I’m pumped. This is what I think I was born to do,” Katic said in “The Yak” with Dan “Big Cat” Katz. “Football is great, but I think this is mine. So, I am very excited to move here.”

Katic does not start working officially until March 1, but made a visit to Jon Gruden, who was recently hired by the site, at the Barstool offices. And they had a great greeting as one would predict a coach of the Super Bowl champion and a six -year -old university star.

“Barstool has our new center and I already love it!” Gruden said in X while publishing a video of his first interaction.

Immediately after shaking his hand, Gruden asked Katic to enter his Liniano position, and the two shared another handshake and hug.

“When [Gruden] He tells you to enter a posture, you get in a damn posture! “Katic published in X.

Katic seemed to insinuate that his days of play had ended after the defeat of the American University football playoffs of Hoosiers against Notre Dame when he published in X: “Thank you University of Indiana. Thank you football.”

Katic is likely to be a late round selection if it had been taken at all. Pro Football Focus described Katic as the tenth center in Power Four’s conferences.

Katic said he was hired quickly after Dave Portnoy saw him in “three clips doing media” after being connected through a member of the male hosiers basketball team.
