India’s two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra tied the knot with his partner Himani Mor in the presence of their dearest friends and family in a closed-door ceremony.
Taking to social media, the Indian javelin thrower announced the news of his marriage with a heartwarming note, reported Olympics.
“Starting a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. United by love, happily ever after,” reads the caption uploaded by Neeraj.
His uncle, who revealed that the marriage took place two days ago, confirmed that a reception party for the marriage will be held soon.
Himani Mor hails from Larsauli, Haryana, and attended Little Angels School in Sonipat.
Additionally, he is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Sports Management and Administration at the McCormack Isenberg School of Management in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Neeraj’s marriage is the second high-profile wedding in Indian sports in a span of a few months after fellow Olympic medalist PV Sindhu’s wedding in December.
Importantly, Neeraj is the first Indian to win an Olympic medal in athletics and only the second to clinch an individual gold at the Summer Games after winning the men’s javelin competition at Tokyo 2020.
He also won the silver medal in Paris 2024.
Additionally, it will bring a Continental Tour Javelin-Only competition to India on the professional front, he informed. NDTV.
