Ingram Micro, a global distributor of Information Technology Products and Services (IT), confirmed that he suffered a ransomware attack that forced him to close parts of his infrastructure, prevented him from operating correctly and sent some of his employees to work from home.
In a press release published on its website, the company said that Ransomware recently identified in “some of its internal systems.” As a result, “proactively” did not achieve some systems and implemented “other mitigation measures.” Third -party cybersecurity experts were also brought to help with the investigation, and the police were notified.
“Ingram Micro is working diligently to restore the affected systems so that it can process and send orders, and the company apologizes for any interruption that this problem is causing its customers, supplier partners and others,” concludes the press release.

This group is involved in the usual double -extension tactics (encryption + data theft), and claims to have violated more than 200 organizations in different industries, such as manufacturing, health or education.
The publication also reports that Safepay’s computer pirates broke into the company’s Global Protect VPN platform and left rescue notes on employee devices. Some employees were sent to work from home and were supposed to use GlobalProtec VPN access.
Among the systems affected by the violation is the XVantage distribution platform of AI of Ingram Micro, and the impulse license supply platform. Other internal services work as usual.
