- INNODISK launches the PCIE Gen5 SSD series for AI and Big Data’s demands
- Up to 128 TB capacity and 14 GBPS for reading speed for business data centers
- The new units admit multiple form factors with greater safety and compatibility of VMware
Innodisk has announced its first PCIE Gen5 SSD series, aimed at the market of high performance and lucrative data centers.
The new units are designed to meet training demands in AI models, Big Data analysis and other data intensive environments. The series admits multiple form factors, including U.2, Edsff E1.s, E3.s and the new E3.L, which offers flexibility for a wide range of business needs and data centers.
“To guarantee high quality and alignment with market trends, the PCIE GEN5 SSD aims to improve integration with leading data centers in the industry, such as the OCP NVME SSD Spec Spec V2.0 data center,” said Innodisk.
Quick Reading/Writing speeds
Built in the PCIE GEN5 X4 interface, Innodisk says that the new 128TB units achieve reading speeds up to 14 GB/Sy write speeds up to 10 GB/s.
The company says that the SSD PCIE GEN5 have developed to easily integrate with industry standards, offering compatibility with VMware environments and other virtualized systems to improve performance.
Companies that manage large-scale or multiple level implementations will benefit from characteristics such as NVME-MI for simplified SSD administration and multi-names-names space support, which helps guarantee scalable and efficient operations, says Innodisk.
SSD also include advanced security mechanisms. Safe starting technology verifies digital firms during firmware updates, blocking unauthorized modifications and ensuring that only the verified firmware is executed.
The Innodisk Pcie Gen5 SSD series is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2025, but it is not yet known about prices.
