- Instagram continues to expand what is possible in the DMS
- Now you can program a message and easily translate one
- The biggest news fell from Jennie and Doechii, since you can share music now
Of course, Instagram DMS could be better known as where he could shoot his shot with someone or send reels to friends with common interests, but goal wants them to be used as a central messaging service. At least, that is what we believe indicates this quite important expansion to Instagram DMS, which is being implemented now.
A few days after debuting the ability to give another user a nickname to Valentine’s Day, Instagram is implementing four main improvements in its DMS. Starting with the ability to program a message, which surprised me that I was no longer there. Instagram is now playing to catch up with the tastes of Imessage, which only obtained this function in iOS 18 – Messenger and WhatsApp.
However, on Instagram, you can now write a message (emojis, gif and everything, and program it to be sent later for individual or group messages. You can schedule one for up to 29 days in the future, which could be fruitful if you need to ensure that an important message is sent, as for the birthday of a friend or an anniversary with a loved one.
In addition, Instagram knows that its platform is global and that you could be sending messages to someone in another language. And instead of copying that message into another application or on the web for a translation, it can now translate a message into 99 different languages just inside Instagram. You can do this for a long time keeping the message and selecting the translate option. This could be quite useful.
Next, we have all been there when group messages are occupied: it can be a constant attack of new elements to read, and other messages or shared elements can be lost in the mixture. Instagram has a solution, well, at least one that could help, since it can now set up to three messages to the top of an individual or group chat. So, if you are planning a weekend trip with friends, you can get the essential details at the top.
Taking into account that Instagram already integrates music into stories and allows you to share an adorable vinyl album that revolves with works of art, it was only a matter of time before this feature reached the messages. The result is that you can share your favorite clues with your friends in a message from a person or group and listen to the track simultaneously.
Nor do you need to navigate to Apple Music or Spotify to find the track, since you can search your favorite online songs from an emerging menu. It is similar to choosing a song to share stories or as backup music for a reel. Instagram was actually associated with Jennie and Doechii to present this function.
All this accumulates to make DMS messages a bit more fluid, but also to stay more inside Instagram instead of navigating other applications. In addition, Instagram now also allows you to generate a QR code so that another user can easily join a group chat simply by scanning it.
Let us know what your favorite feature of this Instagram DM fall in the comments below, but in the meantime, I will share new music in a DM with my friends.
