- Intel is looking for buyers from your network and edge group
- These areas represented 11% of Intel 2024’s total income
- The movement occurs when Intel’s dismissals continue to hit their workforce
Intel plans to turn his motor networks group and Edge Group as part of an ongoing effort throughout the company to increase profitability.
The news was confirmed in an internal memorandum seen by CRNWritten by Sachin Katti, who has played a series of roles in the group of networks and edge of Intel (NEX), including SVP, GM and Cto.
Although Nex will sink, Intel will continue to be a key investor, similar to his previous approach with altera. That is, of course, if Intel succeeds in finding a buyer.
Intel will spin from your networks and edge group
An Intel spokesman confirmed (through CRN): “We plan to establish key elements of our network and communications business as an independent company … as we will alter, we will continue to be an anchor investor that allows us to benefit from the future up to date while we position the business for future growth.”
However, the company remains in the early stages of identification of potential investors.
In 2024, Nex generated around $ 5.8 billion in income for Intel, about 11% of the $ 53.1 billion of the company in total annual income.
The movement is the drastic action of the latets under the direction of the new CEO of Intel Lip-Bu Tan, who promised great changes when he joined in early 2025.
“Intel was ever seen as the most innovative company in the world. There is no reason for us not to return there, provided we drive the necessary changes to improve,” shared so with his colleagues in April 2025.
Although most of the highlights in the memorandum of so to humans centered (dismissals, a return and simplified with less unnecessary meetings, the CEO has also been making changes in the company itself.
However, with this news a few days after we knew that Intel would reduce its template even more, marks an important milestone in the history of Intel and one to which workers will pay close attention.
