The Financing Research Committee, established by the SENDH Assembly to investigate objections regarding the Karachi Intermediate Education Board (BIEK) XI Exam results, has submitted its report.
The report highlights the irregularities and poor management in several stages of the exam process, including evaluation, maintenance of records and brand sheets. After these findings, the Committee has recommended granting all students.
The president of the Committee and Minister of Education of Sndh, Sardar Ali Shah, declared that the students were unfairly treated by the Board, and added that the educational boards of Karachi (matrices and intermediate) have participated in bad practices regarding the results during the last eight years, which must be stopped now.
In statements to journalists at the corner of the media of the Sindh Assembly after the committee meeting on Tuesday, Minister Sardar Ali Shah revealed that the investigation, directed by Dr. Sarosh Lodhi, vice chancellor of the University of NED, discovered serious irregularities within the Board. He said: “The Investigation Committee has received the authority to identify those responsible, and we will recommend actions against the elements according to the rules.”
The minister emphasized that students will not be subject to injustice.
