The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to fire more than 16,000 government employees recruited by the caregiver’s government.
A bill in this regard has been submitted to the Provincial Assembly. The provincial government led by Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) had decided to dismiss government employees recruited by the caregiver’s government. The provincial cabinet approved the decision and has assigned the responsibility of collecting details of the recruitments of all departments to the Minister of Law.
According to the sources, up to 8,000 recruits have been identified in the details provided by several departments, including police and health departments.
The provincial government has prepared a bill for the immediate elimination of these employees that appeared at the Assembly on Friday.
The bill prepared for the dismissal of employees has been appointed the elimination of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa employees of the 2025 service bill.
According to the legislation, employees who had been illegally recruited by the caregiver’s government will be fired from their jobs. After the approval of the bill, the relevant institutions and departments will issue notifications for the dismissal of the employees.
The bill establishes that a six -members committee will be formed under the presidency of the Secretary of Establishment that will consist of the Attorney General, the Finance and Administration departments and other relevant secretaries.
The committee will also review the possible complications that arise in this regard.
The provincial government has also presented the bill of the regulatory force of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 2025 in the Chamber. According to the bill, a regulatory force will be established to implement regulatory laws in several sectors and avoid their violations, with its central office that will be established in Peshawar.
The force will have high reach powers such as those granted to police officers and will implement laws that deal with environmental protection, food security, price control and other regulatory sectors, and avoid their violations.
The regulatory force units will be established in each district of the province that will be directed by a general director (DG) that has a three -year appointment period.
The main minister, however, could appoint the DG for a shorter or longer period.
