Iran offers assistance to Pakistan


LAHORE:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received on Friday a phone call from Iranian President, Dr. Masoud fishshkian, who transmitted his condolences and solidarity with the people of Pakistan for the devastation caused by the floods in progress in several parts of the country.

When expressing their sympathy with the afflicted families that have lost loved ones and properties in calamity, fishshkian said that Iran was standing by Pakistan at this difficult time and offered any help that their country could extend to the population affected by floods.

Shehbaz thanked fishshkian for her reflective gesture and Iran’s expression of support.
