Iran offers condolences, assistance to Pakistan in the midst of devastating floods


Iranian President, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, offered his condolences to the people of Pakistan for the loss of lives and properties in the midst of flood floods in several parts of Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.

In a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday, Iranian President offered assistance to the fraternal people of Pakistan at this difficult time. He also transmitted his sympathy and support to families affected by floods for the loss of precious lives and their worldly belongings.

The prime minister thanked President Pezeshkian for his kind and reflective gesture and expression of solidarity at this time of pain and suffering.

He also requested that his deep greetings and good wishes be transmitted to the supreme leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei. The two leaders expect their interaction at the next SCO Summit in Tianjin, China.
