Iranian ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam accused the United States and Israel on Sunday of sabotaging peace by launching deadly attacks on Iranian territory only two days before the nuclear conversations scheduled with US representatives.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Amiri said the attacks on June 13 killed the Iranian commanders and were a direct attempt to derail a diplomatic meeting planned for June 15. “The Zionist regime and the United States do not want the resolution through diplomacy,” he said.
The ambassador described the Israeli government as “illegitimate” and accused him of acting as an “US military position” in the Middle East.
He stressed that Iran is a member of the Non -Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and operates under the strict supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (OIEA), unlike Israel.
Citing two intelligence reviews of the United States, Amiri reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program is Pacific. “Our supreme leader has clearly stated that we are committed to peaceful nuclear development,” he said, adding that the program exists “in the minds of our scientists” and cannot be destroyed by missiles.
He said Iran will defend himself and has already shown that Israel could not intercept Iranian manufacturing missiles. “When the Zionist regime did not defend himself, the United States was brought,” said Amiri, adding that Washington hit Iran again on Sunday morning.
Amiri warned the United States that “in war, we will determine where he will feel pain,” while affirming that Iran is supported by Muslims around the world. He thanked the government, media, academics and political of Pakistan for his solidarity and support.
Amiri also expressed his gratitude to the members of the United Nations Security Council that condemned Israeli aggression with Pakistan.
He dismissed the calls to the change of regime in Iran, claiming that all US presidents have tried to interfere with Iranian governance through diplomacy or force. “The Iranian people will never accept the leadership imposed by Israel or the United States,” he said.
The ambassador said that the city of Isfahan, a densely populated area near Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, suffered non -specified damage to recent strikes, while ForDow’s nuclear site was not affected due to its remote location.
He concluded thanking Pakistan for his “brave and honorable support,” affirming Iran’s continuous resistance against foreign aggression and his position against “genocidal regimes” in Gaza and beyond.
