Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi will visit Pakistan on Monday, the sources confirmed.
Iranian Foreign Minister will be accompanied by a high -level delegation, with meetings scheduled in Islamabad, including a key session with Pakistan Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar.
According to diplomatic sources, discussions will focus on bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iran, as well as the current regional situation, particularly in the context of the recent tensions of Pakistan-India.
After the conclusion of the meetings in Islamabad, the Iranian delegation is expected to separate India on Tuesday as part of a regional diplomatic dissemination.
The visit occurs in the midst of growing tensions between India and Pakistan after a deadly attack in Iiojk on April 22, which left 26 people dead. India accused Pakistan of participation in the incident, an accusation that Islamabad firmly denies.
Iranian President Masoud Peeshkian has already made telephone calls separately with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing condolences for the recent terrorist attack and underlining the need for a collective position against terrorism.
During his call with Sharif, he expressed concern about the increase in tensions and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to regional stability.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi also spoke with the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, who transmits Tehran’s preparation to help facilitate dialogue between India and Pakistan to relieve tensions.
