Islamabad:
Iraqi authorities have introduced new regulations for pilgrims traveling to the country’s sacred religious sites, establishing specific conditions related to age for the issuance of visas.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and interreligious harmony, Iraq will no longer issue pilgrimage visas to men under 50 if they travel alone.
However, men under 50 will be eligible to apply if they are accompanied by their families, he added.
Updated guidelines are to optimize the pilgrimage process and guarantee ordered arrangements for visitors to the sacred sanctuaries of Iraq.
