Ubisoft has officially recognized the continued Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake the rumors in an unconventional way after another leak appeared online.
For years now, there have been reports that a new modern version of Black Flag has been in the works, with new leaks appearing every two months to keep the rumor alive. A fan apparently discovered a domain registered for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag resynchronized Recently, and it was stated that the game would be released before March 31st.
Now, the latest leak in this long story appears to be a collectible statue featuring Black Flagfrom protagonist Edward Kenway, which appeared for sale on the secondhand app Vinted (via IGN).
X / Twitter user ‘TheRealZephryss’ shared images of the statue and wrote: “This could be the new Edward Kenway figure for the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake. “Some guy on Vinted is selling a new Edward Kenway figure and claims it will be released this year.”
Game developers and publishers typically ignore rumors and leaks, but it seems like Ubisoft may be leaning into speculation.
In response to the publication, the official assassin’s creed The account shared the iconic screenshot of Grand Theft Auto San Andreswhich has now become a viral meme, showing the game’s Carl Johnson saying, “Ah shit, here we go again.”

Is this verification that a Black Flag Is the new version on the way? Or is Ubisoft simply taking advantage of ongoing rumors? Either way, we don’t have official confirmation yet, so hold on to your pirate hats.
As IGN points out, however, the statue’s appearance follows a lead from collectibles company Pure Arts, which suggested last year that it was working on something for Black Flag and that it would appear in the not-too-distant future because “something is happening.”
In fact, close-ups of the statue show the Ubisoft and Pure Arts logos, with a copyright trademark filed for 2026, but fans will have to wait to see if the leak is true.
Rumors that the 2013 game was being remade first surfaced in June 2023, and more recent reports suggest that the game will remove modern plots from the original.
Following rumors that the game would be released before March 31, fans were hopeful that the game would be officially unveiled this month during the Xbox Developer Direct.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and now many believe the game could be put on the back burner. There is also speculation that the game was delayed following Ubisoft’s big shakeup last week that saw the cancellation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Timeand five more games.
