The launch of the iPhone 17 series has not yet been confirmed, but with Apple generally revealing its flagship alignment in September of each year, the next generation of iPhones is probably on the horizon.
It seems that Apple is preparing its next flagships for the broader world with some tests on the ground, or that would suggest some new images shared by an online typster.
The images shared in X (previously Twitter) by the user Fox Pupy apparently show a person who uses the iPhone 17 Pro on the street.

The images show the person holding two phones, one of which seems to be an iPhone 16 Pro and the other that resembles the rumored design of the iPhone 17 Pro.
As we report before, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to be launched with a new design that incorporates a Google Pixel style bar bar. Previously we think this is an aesthetic choice, but the most recent rumors of a new 8X teleobjective camera could imply that the new camera bar creates space for a new lens.
Anyway, the iPhone 17 Pro in these new images seems to be in a case, which darkens if the new phone has a camera bar. The main reason why we are sure that this is not the iphone 16 pro of gene is the position of the flash sensor and lidar of the phone on the right side of the rear panel: the current generation model has all content in the square housing to the left.
Although Fox Pupy is not a name that we know, and generally does not publish about technology rumors, the images have been repossed by the outstanding Apple analyst Mark Gurman.
In the repost, Gurman simply wrote: “Wow. This seems legitimate.” Gurman is widely considered a main voice in the Apple rumors circuit, so a joint firm like this gives the images a lot of weight.
A new camera control button?
There is one more thing to notice for the Pixel Peeepers among us: as reported 9th5mac, there have been some suggestions that the images show a new or second camera control surface on the upper edge of the phone.
For some, the case on the phone may seem to have a notch or gap along the upper side, which could be used by the left hand in landscape mode, while the control of the existing camera is used by the right. For me, it seems reflected sunlight.
Personally, I would be quite surprised if this were the new button. That does not seem a particularly ergonomic place for a touch -sensitive button, especially on the iPhone 17 Pro Max (which is expected to have a 6.9 -inch screen). Even so, Apple is no stranger to the occasional characteristic of iPhone Odd: Do you remember 3D Touch?
