A member of the banned terrorist organization ISIS was produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday, following his arrest by the Anti-Terrorism Department.
Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Fareed Khan Alizai granted five-day physical remand to the accused, Tufail, before the Anti-Terrorism Department (CTD) for further interrogation. According to the researcher, Tufail is linked to ISIS and has been involved in terrorist activities in several regions, including Peshawar.

The accused was arrested on Thursday, and the CTD requested preventive detention for detailed interrogation. “The accused is associated with ISIS… The accused needs to be interrogated,” the officer said.
The court’s decision comes in the wake of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region, with security forces working to dismantle extremist networks operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
