The police of the territory of the capital of Islamabad (ICT) has launched the first “Pakistan Women’s Police Station”, ensuring the protection of 2415 by women, children and vulnerable segments of society, with immediate access to justice and security through a single call in the 1815 aid line.
According to a police spokesman, the online women’s police station is equipped to handle domestic abuse, gender violence and other crimes against women and children. A dedicated help line (1815) has been established, where women can call without hesitation to inform their complaints, seek legal advice or receive immediate assistance, he said.
The Inspector General (IG) of the Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, said that the station offers facilities such as video calls and online chat support, eliminating the need for women to visit a police station for the registration of the first information reports (FIR), which are now delivered directly to their homes.

IG Rizvi also said that the station operates with a first respondent unit that reaches the plaintiff’s location within five to seven minutes. In cases where the immediate resolution is not possible, the female investigation officers of the online women’s police station take quick measures to ensure that justice is delivered, he added.
The IG said that all managers of calls, responders and officers investigators for the help line of 1815 were female police personnel. In addition, emergency calls made to the general line line 15 are automatically redirect to 1815 using artificial intelligence, which guarantees that the call of anguish is not unknown, he said.
Rizvi said the help line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure that assistance is always to only a phone call for those in crisis. The initiative is also fully integrated with the “Police Station on wheels” supported by the AI, which can be sent together with the lifeguards when necessary, he added.
The IG also said that the central objective of the Virtual Women’s Police Station online is to provide rapid, dignified and enabled solutions for technology to gender -based crimes and make sure that it did not run out of unknown victim.
