Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered officials to modernize the Islamabad health system, making it a model for the rest of the country.

By chairing a review meeting on the Ministry of National Health Services, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to improve access to medical care throughout the country.

He highlighted the need to prioritize efforts to provide quality medical facilities to all citizens.

The meeting included an informative session on the development of the Research Center and the Jinnah Research Center, where Prime Minister Shehbaz instructed officials to accelerate the construction and begin the prequalification process to acquire medical and surgical equipment.

The process, he added, must be carried out under the supervision of expert consultants to guarantee transparency.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also ordered a third -party auditing of construction work and the acquisition of teams for Jinnah’s medical complex.

In addition, he asked to initiate the approval process for the Charter of the Affiliated University of the Complex.

The officials reported the meeting that Jinnah’s medical complex has been established as a company under Section 42 of the Companies Law, and its Steering Committee has approved the Master Plan.

The recruitment of project management and implementation units has also begun.

The federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Azam Nazir Tarar and Ahsan Chema, together with the coordinator of the Prime Minister for National Health, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed Bharath, attended the meeting along with senior government officials.

The prime minister reiterated the government’s resolution to improve medical care services, making them accessible and efficient for all citizens.
