The Israel Premier technological cycling team has been excluded from an next race in Italy due to concerns about potentially disruptive pro-palestinian protests.
The organizers of the Dell’emilia Giro, who is scheduled for October 4, made the decision after the protesters repeatedly interrupted the recent Spanish round in the middle of the presence of Israel’s main technology there. There, seven of the last 11 days of racing in the Vuelta were cut or interrupted when the Government of Spain estimated that more than 100,000 people were in the streets in Madrid during the final stage of this month.

An Italian local policy, Roberta Li Calzi, a councilor of Bologna, addressed the decision to eliminate the team.
“We believe that sport is a vehicle of universal values of exchange, fair competition, solidarity among people,” said Li Calzi on Saturday. “We are satisfied to know that this opinion is shared by the career organization, which today officially confirmed that the Israeli team will not participate in the Dell’emilia turn.
“I thank you for this sensitivity, which I think is shared by a large part of our community.”
The team is co -owner by the Canadian billionaire Israeli Sylvan Adams. His main sponsor, Premier Tech, a multinational company based in Quebec, said Thursday that he expects the team to be renamed.
Meanwhile, the UEFA Europa League, the largest football body in Europe, is moving towards a vote to suspend Israel for the war in Gaza, according to The Association press.

The majority of the executive committee of 20 UEFA members will support any vote in favor of suspending Israeli teams of the international game, according to the exit. It would prevent the Israeli national team and club teams from playing international competitions, including next year’s World Cup.
