Issue new free numbers plates’

Karachi:

It issues the new Ajrak theme numbers plates for free legal actions or stopping breach, Muttahida leader Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Dr. Farooq Sattar said on Sunday.

Sattar strongly criticized the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), accusing him of administering a feudal form of democracy in Sindh during the last 17 years. He warned that Karachi, the economic column of the province, was systematically exploited, while its citizens were being pushed into the wall.

Going to a press conference at the MQM-P Bahadurabad headquarters along with high-level leaders Syed Amin-Ul-Haque, Zahid Mansoori, Shakil Ahmed and others, Sattar said that “Sattar said”

He questioned the recent promotion of Ajrak’s theme numbers plates, claiming that behind this cultural facade is a “new exploitation route.” He claimed that thousands of traffic police from the Interior of Sindh have been deployed in Karachi and are extorting money to citizens under the pretext of the application.

“Governor Sindh has rightly pointed out that Ajrak will lose his holiness if used to loot people,” he added.

Sattar pointed out that, while inside Sindh, more than 95% of vehicles, according to reports, operate without numbers, no measures are taken there. “Karachi, the Golden Goose, is being sacrificed,” he said, asking for the free emission of numbers or a high to arbitrary sanctions.

He also criticized the recent transfer of 40 employees from Sehwan’s development authority to the Building Authority of Sindh (SBCA), describing it as “injustice” to Karachi’s youth. “Karachi and Hyderab’s homes are being set aside in government institutions,” he said.

The MQM leader said that the collapse of buildings in Lyari and the inability to implement policies on hazardous structures reflect the negligence of the provincial government led by PPP. He demanded that former main ministers and local government ministers be appointed in FIR for allowing illegal constructions during their mandate.

“The Local Government Minister is obliged to convene meetings in dangerous buildings every three months, but have shown complete contempt,” he said.

Touching education, Sattar said that in the recent entrance exam to the University of NED, 90% of the students of the Rural Boards of Sindh failed, while 76% of Karachi approved, showing an obvious disparity.

“I feel sorry for these children. They are becoming dependent on crutches for a broken system,” he said.

Sattar also criticized the mayor of Karachi and the nine presidents of the city of Jamaat-E-Isami, blaming them for the bad conditions of the city. “The mayor says he is not responsible for the lanes and neighborhoods. So who is it?” asked.
