Karachi:
Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced Friday that there would be no gas suspension on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
In a statement, the company said that the closing of programmed night gas, from 11 pm to the morning, has postponed in honor of the religious occasion.
“This decision has been taken by management for the convenience of consumers,” reads the statement.
The SSGC spokesman confirmed that the uninterrupted gas supply would be guaranteed until 10 pm on Saturday (today).
“The programmed management scheduled for Friday night has deferred, and there will be no interruption in the gas supply tonight,” added the spokesman.

It is pertinent to mention that homes in Karachi experience the load of gas gases during the night throughout the year due to the imminent gas crisis in the country.
The Sindh government announced a two-day holiday on September 5 and 6 in relation to Eid Milad-Un-Nabi (PBUH).
A notification issued on Wednesday confirmed that vacations would be observed throughout the province. The holidays correspond to Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks the birth of the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh).
The Federal Government also declared on September 6 as a national vacation to mark the religious occasion.
