She has been making a bad decision after a bad decision, since she intends to marry someone who does not even respect her, moving everyone else in the process. Jeremiah apparently got the start in episode 6, but season 3 episode 8 has officially broken his commitment in the morning of the wedding. In the penultimate scene, Jeremiah states that he has been waiting for Belly to admit that he still feels feelings for Conrad, saying that it is known through all the commitment that the couple has a link that goes beyond superficial romance and Jeremiah. He sees the way the belly looks at Conrad, declaring (correctly, for once) that Belly can’t marry Jeremiah simply to bury the feelings he has for Conrad.
While we listen to Belly’s voiceover, she can’t go through the wedding either, breaking her hand when Jeremiah leaves the room. However, her screen time tells us a different story, practically begging Jeremiah to marry her while stating that what they have is special, and Conrad is nothing compared. However, absolutely no one is buying this, and for my part I could have hit the screen, I was so happy.
We have been waiting for Belly to have his head on and start thinking properly about what is best for her, instead of chasing who has her heart at this time. When catching a flight to Paris (where else?), She is taking the time and space she needs to think things, recover and, hopefully, she is in the process.
