- AWS AI HEAD declares a new era for AI AI
- AWS also announces a large number of new tools and services for AI
- Agent AI could be “a tectonic change,” says Aws
AWS has declared that AI agents could be as key as the dawn of the Internet, in terms of the effect that technology could have on our daily personal and work life.
Speaking at the company’s AWS Summit, New York, Swami Sivasubramanian, Vice President of AI of Agentic, described how AI agents are ready to drastically accelerate innovation and improve productivity in each industry.
“This is the most shocking change we have seen since the Internet dawn,” Sivasubramanian said, “with these agents, a change to service as software comes.”
“Tectonic change”
“It is a tectonic change in some dimensions,” Sivasubramanian also said. “It reduces the way in which software is built. It also presents a lot of new challenges to implement and operate it, and potentially in a more shocking way, change how software interacts with the world and how we interact with software.”
During the key note, Sivasubramanian announced Amazon Bedrock Agentcore, a new set of tools focused on the agent that described as, “everything he needs to incorporate agents into production.”
He also revealed that AWS Marketplace will store AI agents and tools, which will allow users to discover, buy and implement solutions of AWS Partners AI agents in a centralized catalog.
This includes pre -constructed agents, agent tools, agents development solutions, professional services and software solutions, providing a central location for users to implement and climb the agents through the new agentcore execution time tool.
Amazon S3 vectors were also announced, which AWS says that it is the first storage of cloud objects with native vector support for AI work loads, which helps to greatly reduce the cost of storing and consult vectors, which makes it profitable to retain and use large sets of vector data to improve AI.
“All this binds to make AWS the best place to build and deploy agents,” said Sivasubramanian.
“We are still in the first days of the agents, but with these innovations, we are drawing the way to allow you to build a brilliant future.”
