- The 17E iPhone could be stuck with a 60Hz screen
- You could also keep the same unique lens chamber system as your predecessor
- However, its design and chipset could be updated
The iPhone 17 series has landed, but a model that carries that number could still be on its way, since we are likely to see an iPhone 17E next year. However, if you plan to wait for the next Apple medium range iPhone, you may want to reconsider.
According to Apple’s observer, Mark Gurman, writing in his Power On Boletter for Bloomberg (through Phone Arena), the iPhone 17E will not be close to matching the iPhone 17 base model. That is in contrast to the iPhone 16E, which at least had a screen similar to the iPhone 16 and the same chipset.
But with the iPhone 17E you will apparently be stuck with a 60Hz screen, instead of the 120Hz one that has the iPhone 17. The iPhone 17E will also have the same 48MP single lens camera as the 16E iPhone.
More power and a new aspect
So what will improve? Well, it will supposedly look like the iPhone 16 base model, which means a dynamic island instead of the notch that is found in the 16E iPhone. And apparently it will have an A19 chipset, which could see that it coincides with the iPhone 17 for the power.
Even so, with a lower screen and only a rear camera, it may not be the most convincing of the devices. But this is apparently intentional, and it is said that Apple wants to create more differentiation between the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17E that exists between iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16E.
In this way, the iPhone 17E is more obviously a budget model, and the iPhone 17 could continue to be a better purchase for people who can pay it, and they want a lot of your phone.
Of course, none of this is still confirmed, but Mark Gurman has an excellent history for Apple’s information, so there is a good possibility that this is precise, especially because this coincides with a previous leakage of the iPhone 17E.
However, we may not discover the official specifications of the iPhone 17E for a while, since while the iPhone 16E landed in February, the only launch date filters a May launch for the iPhone 17E.
