We have been waiting patiently for Outlander: Blood of my blood finale, but as expected, season 2 is what we should pay attention to. Luckily for us, production has been underway since the first season began airing, so it won’t be long before we get the episodes.
So far, the hit Starz show is the closest it comes to a potential stranger crossover, at least, if the trailer for episode 10 is anything to go by. Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield) are still going through the worst of it after their long separation, with Brian (Jamie Roy) now free from the clutches of his horribly cruel father. Meanwhile, Ellen (Harriet Slater) hopes she doesn’t have to marry Malcolm Grant (Simon Merrells).
We still need answers to get us on track for Season 2, which is scheduled for release in early 2026, but we’ll likely be left with more questions than we already have. Details are being closely guarded, but Irvine and Corfield explained to me that season 2 “won’t be what we expected.” Intrigue!
‘Wild’ Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 2 is something we won’t expect, cast says

Look
“You’ll see your characters at the end of season 1, and then where they start season 2 is not what you’d expect,” Irvine says. “I wasn’t expecting it. I was very confused when I went to my first costume fitting and saw the costumes, and I asked, ‘What the hell is that for?’
What this means, I cannot say. We know from our four main characters that Henry and Julia are in the biggest bind, so it makes sense that they would have the most complicated plot heading into new episodes.
If the cast is anything to go by, they probably aren’t completely sure either: Season 1 filmed four alternate endings and they have no idea which one will be used until tonight.
“They give us our scripts while we’re filming the previous block,” Corfield says. “We are currently doing block one and two [of season 2]and we won’t start seeing scripts for block three until we’re almost done with block two, so you’ll also be constantly learning where your character is going. In reality, we have no idea what is really coming.”
Irvine adds: “We filmed about four different endings for the first season, so we haven’t seen which one they chose in the final cut yet.” Once final editing was completed, this may have changed.
But still, we have a real mystery on our hands, both tonight and in season 2… so get ready.
