The Memphis Grizzlies star, Ja Morant, is not expected to be punished by the NBA for a gesture related to weapons that he made during a recent game.
According to ESPN, the League issued a warning to Morant, but does not plan to fine or suspend it in response to the gesture of the fingertips, the two-time NBA targets directed towards the Bank of Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.

The Warriors guard, Buddy Hield, also received a warning of the NBA.
The Warriors star, Stephen Curry, almost established the 3-point record, since he scored 52 points to help bring Golden State to a 134-125 victory over Memphis.

Morant has been disciplined by the NBA several times throughout his career, and some of those punishments were due to incidents related to weapons. The League delivered a suspension of eight games in 2023 after Morant showed what appeared to be a weapon during a live broadcast on social networks in a Colorado nightclub.
Later that year, Morant seemed to show a gun while in a car during another video of social networks. 25 additional games was suspended.

“Ja Morant’s decision to exert once again a firearm on social networks is alarming and disconcerting given his similar behavior in March for which eight games was already suspended,” said NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, at the time of his second suspension.
“The potential for other young people to emulate JA’s behavior is particularly worrying. In these circumstances, we believe that a suspension of 25 games will not be tolerated and makes it clear that reckless and irresponsible behavior will not be tolerated with weapons.

“For Ja, basketball needs to spend a rear seat at this time. Before his return to the game, he will be asked to formulate and meet a program with the league that directly addresses the circumstances that led him to repeat this destructive behavior.”
Morant was also placed under the microscope after a January 2023 game in which an unidentified individual in the NBA star vehicle was accused of shining a laser pointer on the Indiana Pacers team bus. It happened after some members of Morant’s entourage were involved in a confrontation with a group of people at the Pacers travel party.
The Grizzlies enter Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat in the eighth place in the classification of the West Conference.
