In an interview with Pak Gazette Digital in February 2024, Serrano said that joining Paul’s brand was “the best decision I have made in boxing.”

“My life changed completely,” he said at that time. “Jake takes his eyes to sport, and he was excited to be part of him and be the first girl on her billboard. I had to make sure I had to go out and show that I am deserving that position. Jake is just an incredible guy. Nakisa is an incredible guy. And they only want the best for me.

“They have definitely added more zeros to my bank account,” he added with a smile. “So I’m really blessed for that.”

Serrano lost to Taylor through a controversial unanimous decision; Taylor won in 2022 with divided control pictures. However, they obtained more than 70 million viewers in Netflix, the most in the history of female boxing. Two of Serrano’s three defeats come from Taylor, who has 24-1 in his career.
