Creature commands on Max is nearing its end and creator James Gunn is already generating excitement for what’s to come.
The seven-episode animated series, produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, promises a special treat for fans of the DC Universe.
When asked by a fan on Threads if the series would include post-credits scenes, Gunn confirmed, “The season finale, yes.”
However, he did not reveal whether the scenes will give clues about the newly announced second season or will relate to other DC Studios properties, such as Superman either Peacemaker Season 2.
According Deadline, Creature commands It marked the first project within the DC Extended Universe directed by Gunn and Peter Safran as co-heads of DC Studios.
Notably, the series is part of an integrated storytelling approach, where actors will play the same characters in animated and live-action projects.
Additionally, the star-studded voice cast includes Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot and Weasel, David Harbor as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Following the success of the series, Max recently greenlit a second season of Creature Commandos and expressed his gratitude saying, “We are thrilled to partner with Max for another season of Creature Commandos mayhem.”
“From the spectacular first season of Peacemaker to the stunning execution of The Penguin and the record-breaking launch of Creature Commandos, Max has exceeded our expectations.”
