Jarren Duran of the Red Sox opens about the suicide attempt

Boston’s red socks are the theme of the latest docuseries behind Netflix, titled “The Clubhouse: a Year with the red sox”.

One of the interviews conducted during the 2024 season was with gardener Jarren Duran, who had an All-Star campaign. But the interview was quite serious, since he discussed his 2021 and 2022 seasons, which he fed his suicide attempt.

Duran has been opened about his mental health struggles he has dealt with, since he was not fulfilling his high expectations within the organization to begin his career in the majors.

He had a professional year in 2024, leading the MLB in doubles (48), triple (14), bats to bat (671) and appearances on the plate (735), while they yield 21 homers with 75 ranked races.

Duran also made his first game of career stars, winning MVP honors after launching a home run that helped the American league to beat the National League.

However, there was some controversy with last last season, since MLB was suspended by two games for saying an anti-gay insult towards a fan. He would apologize quickly, saying that he regretted his actions and that he would work to be better from his mistake.
