When it comes to improving the best portable speakers, manufacturers do not need to add new Whizzy features: all they need to do is make them stronger, make them sound better and make them last longer. And the new position 6 and Flip 7 of JBL deliver the three counts, and finally they are official, since they have previously leaked, it was officially revealed in China.
The main function here is the AI Sound Boost of JBL, which is designed to optimize the sound configuration and, in particular, to allow it to raise the strongest speaker without having an unwanted distortion. That feature is already in the JBL XTREME 4, which we have tasted and enjoyed immensely.
JBL FLIP 7 and CHARGE 6: Key characteristics and prices
Both speakers have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and come with a longer battery duration than before: up to 16 hours for flip and 28 hours for load. These figures are based on the use of the BOOST function of game time, which adjusts the EQ to obtain a few additional reproduction hours.
There is the same Bluetooth support on each speaker (5.4) and both have aircraft for multiple speakers connections. There are six color options: black, blue, white, red, camouflage and purple, and its USB-C connectors allow you to reproduce high resolution audio without loss.
