LAHORE:
Jamaat-E-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has strongly condemned Israeli military actions in Palestine, denouncing the international community, particularly to Muslim countries, for being silent spectators.
Speaking during an emergency press conference held at the headquarters of the Mansoora party on Sunday, he announced a national solidarity campaign with the Palestinian people, including a series of protest demonstrations that will be held outside the diplomatic missions of the United States.
The demonstrations are scheduled for April 11 in Lahore, on April 13 in Karachi and April 20 in Islamabad, which according to him is intended to “send a strong message” against Israeli atrocities.
“The true face of Western powers and Muslim regimes that support Israel have been exposed,” he said, accusing some Muslim governments to align with the Zionist State under the sponsorship of the United States at the expense of regional stability and moral responsibility.
The JI Emir denounced Muslim leaders for their “failure to respond decisively.”
“If there had been any honor or courage in the Muslim world, Israel would not have dared to commit so much barbarism,” he said.
He claimed that more than 80,000 houses had been destroyed in the West Bank, thousands of imprisoned and that Israel is carrying out a genocide campaign.
He warned that those who cooperate with Israel were betraying the UMMAH and inflicting long -term damage. “It is the collective duty of the Muslim world to raise their voice for Al-Quds and the Palestinian people,” he added.
Touching domestic problems, Hafiz Naeem dismissed the recent decision of the government to reduce electricity bills as insufficient, and added that citizens continue to face high inflation and severe economic difficulties while the government implements “cosmetic measures.”
In response to a media question, he said that Jamaat-E-Islami plans to send a letter to the United Nations Secretary General in the coming months, documenting the alleged Israeli aggression and seeking to awaken global consciousness.
He also urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to clarify the reports on a Pakistani delegation that is allegedly visited. If such individuals exist, he said, they must be arrested and interrogated on who authorized his trip, which he contradicts the official foreign policy of Pakistan.
He appealed to religious scholars, including MUFTI TAQI USMANI and MUFTI MUENBUR REHMAN, to issue Shariah orientation on the concept of jihad in the context of Israeli actions in Gaza.
He said that said religious leadership could influence Muslim rulers to take concrete measures in defense of the Palestinians.
