Jamaat-E-Islami (JI) has announced a strike at the national level on April 22 to express solidarity with Gaza people in the middle of Israel’s continuous offensive, said Express News.
The announcement was made by the leader of JI, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, while heading to a great meeting during the “Palestine March” held in Karachi on Sunday.
“We will observe a complete closure throughout the country on April 22 in solidarity with Gaza. Palestinian leadership has supported this action,” said Rehman. “We will also coordinate with other Islamic organizations worldwide for a collective response the same day,” he added.
He urged the public to continue the campaign to boycott international products and support the Palestinian cause through sustained action.
When describing the next steps of the game, Rehman said that a special children will be held, followed by a Gaza march in fine on April 18 and another in Islamabad on April 20. “The Islamabad event will be the largest public meeting in the country’s history,” he said.
He also declared that letters are being sent to the bosses of Islamic States and human rights organizations, appealing to support and decisive action against the policies of the United States that support Israel. “Karachi will lead this movement against the slaves of America. We will succeed in this fight,” he added.
