LAHORE:
AMEER JAMAAT-E-ISLAMI, Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman, while heading to an emergency press conference in Mansoora, Lahore, strongly condemned Israeli aggression in Palestine, the silence of the Muslim world and the apathy of the international community.
He said that the true face of Western powers and Muslim regimes that support Israel has now been exposed. By announcing a national solidarity campaign, he said that Jamaat-E-Islami will organize protest marches throughout the country in support of the Palestinian people.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman announced that protest demonstrations will take place outside the United States embassies on April 11 in Lahore, April 13 in Karachi and April 20 in Islamabad to send a strong message to the world against Israeli atrocities in Palestine.
Criticizing the Muslim rulers, he said: “If there had been any honor and courage in the Muslim world, Israel would not have dared to commit so much barbarism.” He warned that aligning with the Zionist regime and making agreements under the sponsorship of the United States would not guarantee the safety of Muslim countries. “Oppression is not limited only to Gaza; Israel has demolished more than 80,000 homes in the West Bank, imprisoned Miles and is committing genocide,” he added.
He said that those who betray the UMMAH collaborating with the Zionists are causing irreparable damage, and it is a collective responsibility of the Muslim world to raise their voice for Al-Quds and the Palestinian people.
When commenting on the government’s recent movement to reduce electricity bills, Hafiz Naeem described it insufficient, stating that the public suffers from inflation and economic difficulties, while the government is only taking cosmetic measures.
Answering a question, Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that Jamaat-E-Isami will send a letter to the United Nations Secretary General in the coming months, highlighting Israeli aggression and terrorism in Palestine in an effort to arouse global consciousness.
He also demanded that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarify the reports on a Pakistani delegation that allegedly visited Israel. He said that if there are such individuals, they must be arrested and questioned about who authorized them to participate in the dialogue with the Israelis, which is against the official state policy.
Hafiz Naeem also appealed to the outstanding scholars such as MUFTI TAQI USMANI, MUFTI MUENEB UR REHMAN and others to provide guidance to Sharia on the subject of jihad in the light of the Israeli atrocities in progress in Gaza, so that the Muslim rules can be obliged to take concrete measures in the support of the Palestinian peoples.
