Jim Parsons has addressed fan speculation about a Big Bang Theory reboot and he’s not hopeful.

talking to Us weekly At American Ballet Theatre’s Fall 2025 Gala, the Emmy-winning actor was asked if he might see the beloved comedy return one day.

“I can’t imagine it,” Parsons said, before adding with a smile:

“Well, I imagine it, but no, I imagine not,” he added.

Its prequel series, young sheldonconcluded in 2024 when its timeline caught up with the events of the original show.

During his career, Parsons won four Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper, the brilliant and quirky physicist who became one of television’s most iconic characters.

“I have so many special memories from the show,” he added, reflecting on the experience that defined much of his career.
