A joint research team (JIT) in Lahore has found Khawaja aqeel aka Gogi Butt guilty for the high profile murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu, arose on Tuesday.
According to Jit sources, Gogi Butt was essential to orchestrate the murder, maintaining communication with the primary defendant, Khawaja Tareef aka Teefi Butt and other accomplices. He had previously been involved in multiple cases involving the Tipu family.
The JIT intends to seek the cancellation of Gogi Butt’s bond at a next judicial hearing.

Ameer Balaj Tipu was killed on February 19, 2024, during a wedding ceremony in the Lahore Chuhung area. The attacker, identified as Muzaffar Hussain, a former Teefi Butt gunman, shot Balaj Tipu for a long dispute. Muzaffar was immediately killed after the attack.
The investigations revealed that Ahsan Shah, a close associate of the deceased, had provided critical information to the attackers, facilitating the murder. Ahsan Shah was later killed in an alleged encounter.

Previously, Muhammad Javed Butt, Teefi Butt’s brother -in -law, was shot dead near the underground passage of the Muslim city in Lahore. The case has caught significant attention due to the participation of influential figures and the complex network of relations and rivalries within the region.
